Registration for municipal children's schools 2024/25
The City Council opens the schooling period for the 2024/25 academic year in the five Municipal Nursery Schools
Applications for new admissions of boys and girls aged between sixteen weeks and three years may be submitted from April 1 to April 30, inclusive.
The Estepona City Council informs that on April 1 the deadline for submitting applications for new admissions to the Municipal Nursery Schools of El Nido, El Mar, Los Pitufos, Calancha and Cancelada for the 2024/25 academic year will open.
The Consistory will offer a total of 377 places for the next academic year, of which 43 will be for children under one year old; 129 for one-year-olds; and 205 for two-year-olds. These places will be distributed as follows: Cancelada 74, Calancha 35, El Mar 102, Los Pitufos 115 and El Nido 51 Applications may be submitted by families with children aged between 16 weeks and 3 years, that is, they were born in the years 2024, 2023 and 2022.
Interested persons can download the registration applications on the page https://www.juntadeandalucia.es/educacion/portales/en/web/escolarizacion/0-a-3-anos (printed – AnnexII) and they can also be picked up at the City Hall (Juan Carlos I Avenue, 40). Once filled out, along with the requested documentation, they can be delivered to the virtual secretariat of the Junta de Andalucía or to the Town Hall, with an appointment that can be obtained on the Estepona Town Hall page (Prior Appointment-Registration for Nursery Schools). or in person. The application submission period for new admissions will be active until April 30.
The Municipal Nursery Schools have socio-educational service hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering morning classrooms and dining room service. In addition, families can also submit, along with the application for new admission, the application for assistance for the service bonus.
Nursery Schools develop their activity through projects. Throughout the course, the Family School activity is carried out, which can be attended by parents, grandparents, uncles and other people who have a close relationship with the children. For several years now, the English language has been introduced into the classrooms. The City Council also offers a psychological consultation service to parents who may need it, as well as to detect possible deficits in the development of children.
