Cancelada celebrates its traditional pilgrimage in honor of the Patron San Isidro Labrador
It will take place on May 1 and will include the accompaniment of a brass band and the musical performance of 'Malacai'
The deputy mayor of Extrarradio, Begoña Ortiz, and the president of the Association of Faithful of San Isidro Labrador de Cancelada, Miguel Ángel Fernández, have today presented the pilgrimage that will be held on Wednesday, May 1, in this neighborhood of Estepona in honor of the Estepona pattern.
This day will begin with the ringing of bells that will announce the festival and with a parade by the brass band 'Los Pintores'. At 9:30 a.m. a mass will be celebrated in the church of the Purísimo Corazón de María, in which the Rocío choir 'Son y Sal' will participate.
Next, the procession of the Patron Saint will take place, which will depart in a pilgrimage to the Guadalmansa River and will be accompanied by the Sevillian brass band 'Los Pintores'. In addition, the afternoon of celebrations will be enlivened by the musical duo 'Malacai'.
Around 8:00 p.m. the events will end with the popular reception of the Patron Saint San Isidro Labrador in the gardens of the Santísimo Corazón de María parish.
In addition to the day of the pilgrimage, a series of previous events will be held that will begin tomorrow, April 25, with a Triduum in honor of the Patron. Also, on Tuesday, April 30, the José Vázquez Espinosa square and Corazón de María street will be decorated with palms.
