The Friends of the Passion Association will stage 'The Passion, according to Estepona' through the streets of the old town
The Passion of Christ reenactment will take place next Saturday, April 4th. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Plaza San Francisco with the Last Supper and will conclude in the Orchidarium Botanical Park with the Crucifixion.
The Estepona City Council informs that the 'Friends of the Passion' Association will stage the Passion of Christ next Saturday, April 4, with Miguel López Ramírez as director, Miguel Ángel López as assistant director, and Luque in technical coordination.
This reenactment of the Passion of Christ, which has been performed in the streets of the town's old quarter since 2014, involves around one hundred people, including amateur actors and technicians.
The performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Plaza San Francisco, next to the Church of Los Remedios, with the reenactment of the Last Supper, and will continue along Blas Ortega Street, until it ends, around 7:30 p.m., in the Orchidarium Botanical Park, with the Crucifixion.
The route of the performance is as follows: Plaza San Francisco (Last Supper), C/ Blas Ortega, Plaza Manuel Alcántara (Agration in the Garden), C/ Caravaca, Plaza del Reloj (Palace of Caiaphas), Plaza Blas Infante, C/ Viento, C/ Castillo (Palace of Pilate and Palace of Herod), C/ Santa Ana, C/ Real (First Fall), C/ Terraza (Second and Third Falls) and Parque Botánico Orquidario (Crucifixion).
