The Estepona-born author Salvador Gómez Mena presents his new book of poems, 'The Coldness of Her Eyes', at the Casa de Las Tejerinas
The book presentation will take place next Thursday, April 16th, at 6:30 pm, with free admission until capacity is reached, and its purpose is to raise funds, which will be entirely donated to the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Estepona.
The Estepona City Council informs that next Thursday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m., the presentation of the poetry collection 'The cold of her eyes' by the Estepona author Salvador Gómez Mena will take place in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Room of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de Las Flores.
The literary presentation, with free admission until full capacity is reached, will have the purpose of raising funds, which will be destined for the Spanish Association Against Cancer, in Estepona.
Salvador Gómez Mena was born in Estepona in 1970. He comes from a humble fishing family. From his parents (Antonio Gómez and Salvi Mena) he learned good manners, respect, kindness, calmness, and much more. The father of two daughters, Alba and Nydia, he is proud to have been born in the same city of Estepona.
After finishing his primary education at the Víctor de la Serna Public School, twenty years passed before the desire to write and tell stories was born within him. His first works came in the form of poetry, with "Corazones del Alba" (Hearts of Dawn), followed by his first novel, "Marbas y el libro de la luz" (Marbas and the Book of Light), and then the poetry collections "El sueño de los peces" (The Dream of the Fish) and "Vientos de amor y cenizas" (Winds of Love and Ashes). Then, with each passing year, he added different works and styles to his literary CV. He collaborated on the charity poetry collection "Lírica Navidad" (Lyrical Christmas), the proceeds of which were sent to those in need and affected by the war in Ukraine, and all the profits from his work "La lluvia descalza" (Barefoot Rain) are donated to the Vicente Ferrer Foundation.
